IOCL Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification for IOCL: 

1. Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (Production) (Post Code 201) – 3 years Diploma in Chemical Engg./ Chemical Technology/ Chemical Technology (Fertiliser)/ Petrochemical Engg. / Petrochemical Technology/Refinery and Petrochemical Engg. OR B.Sc (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry) from accredited Institute/ University with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for General, EWS & OBC Applicants & 45% in case of SC/ST Applicants against reserved positions.

2. Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (P&U) (Post Code 202) – 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engg/ Mechanical (Production) Engg. or Diploma in Electrical Engg./ Electrical and Electronics Engg./ Electrical Power System/Electrical Engg. (Industrial Control) OR B.Sc (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry) from accredited Institute/ University ALONGWITH Boiler Competency Certificate (BCC) with Second Class OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in Boiler Attendant under the Apprentices Act, 1961 with due endorsement of equivalence to the Second-Class Boiler Attendant Certificate of Competency, by the Competent Boiler Authority of the State of the Refinery Unit for which the candidate has applied for. Applicants in possession of National Apprenticeship Certificate in Boiler Attendant under the Apprentices Act, 1961 MUST upload NAC with due endorsement of equivalence to the 2nd class Boiler Attendant Certificate of Competency by the competent Boiler Authority of the State of the Refinery Unit for which they applied.  

3. Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (P&U-O&M) (Post Code 203) – 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. / Electrical Power System/Electrical Engg. (Industrial Control) from accredited Institute/ University with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for General, EWS & OBC Applicants & 45% in case of SC/ST Applicants against reserved positions.

Junior Engineering Assistant -IV (Electrical)/ Junior Technical Assistant – IV (Electrical) (Post Code 204) – 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engg. / Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engg. / Electrical Power System/Electrical Engg. Junior Engineering Assistant -IV (Instrumentation )/ Junior Technical Assistant – IV (Instrumentation) (Post Code 206) – 3 years Diploma in Instrumentation Engg/Instrumentation & Electronics/ Instrumentation & Control Engg, / Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engg./ Electronics and Electrical Engineering from a accredited Institute/University with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for General, EWS & OBC Applicants & 45% in case of SC/ST/PwBD Applicants against reserved/identified for PwBD positions.  

7. Junior Quality Control Analyst (Post Code 207) – B.Sc. (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry) with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for General, EWS & OBC Applicants & 45% in case of SC/ST/PwBD Applicants against reserved/identified for PwBD positions.

8. Junior Engineering Assistant -IV (Fire & Safety) (Post Code 208) – Intermediate (10+2) pass with Sub-Officers’ Course from NFSC-Nagpur or from Government accredited Board/ University/Institute with Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.

Age Limit for IOCL: (As on 31.12.2025)

For Un-reserved Applicants: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 26 years

Relaxation of Upper age limit:

• For SC/ ST Applicants: +5 years

• For OBC Applicants: +3 years

• For PwBD (Gen/ EWS) Applicants: +10 years

• For PwBD (SC/ ST) Applicants: +15 years

• For PwBD (OBC) Applicants: +13 years
