TANUVAS Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification for TANUVAS: 

1. Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Science) – 

   • Essential: Master’s degree in Veterinary Science / Animal Science (specialization in Livestock Production & Management / Poultry /Animal Nutrition) from a recognised University

   • Desirable: 1. Net qualification 2. Ph.D. Qualification 3. Experience in KVK and Extension Education concerned  Projects 4. Working knowledge of computer

2. Subject Matter Specialist (Agronomy) – 

   • Essential : Master’s degree in Agronomy from a recognised University

   • Desirable : 1. Net qualification 2. Ph.D. Qualification 3. Experience in KVK and Extension Education concerned  Projects 4. Working knowledge of computer

3. Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture) –

   • Essential: Master’s degree in Horticulture from a recognised University

4. Subject Matter Specialist (Soil Science) –

6. Subject Matter Specialist (Fisheries) – 

   • Essential: Master’s degree in Fisheries Science/ Aquaculture from a recognised University

7. Programme Assistant (Computer) –

   • Essential: Graduate in Computer Science (CS) / Computer Application.

   • Desirable: 1. Experience managing databases and web portals while having a background in agriculture or similar sciences. 2. Post Graduate in CS/ Computer Application or equivalent qualifications from an accredited University

8. Programme Assistant (Laboratory Technician) –

   • Essential: Graduate  in Agriculture and allied subjects from an accredited University.

   • Desirable: 1. Experience in KVK and Extension Education concerned  Projects 2. Post Graduate in Agriculture and allied subjects from State Agricultural University *Graduate  in Agriculture and allied subjects (Agriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture Engineering, Sericulture, Home/Community Science)

9. Farm Manager – 

   • Essential: A bachelor’s degree in agriculture and concerned fields from an accredited university

   • Desirable: 1. Experience in KVK and Extension Education concerned  concerned Projects  2. A Post Graduate in agriculture and concerned fields from State Agricultural University **A Graduate in agriculture and concerned fields ( dairy technology, forestry, poultry technology, fisheries, horticulture, agricultural engineering,and sericulture)

10. Assistant – 

    • Essential: A Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University. (Nature of Duties – He / She has to perform the Office administrative work) 

    • Desirable: 1. Experience in KVK and Extension Education concerned  Projects  2. Master’s degree from an accredited University

11. Stenographer Grade – III – 

    • Essential: 12th Std pass

    • Professional Efficiency: One dictation exam in either Tamil or English will be administered to the candidates for ten minutes at 80 words per minute. Candidates who choose to take the test in Tamil must use a computer to transcribe the content in 65 minutes, while those who choose to take the test in English must do it in 50 minutes.

12. Driver –

    • Essential: (i) Matriculation pass qualification from an accredited board; (ii) Possession of a valid and appropriate driving license from prescribed Government Authority (the candidate will have to pass the practical skill test to be taken by an appropriate committee of Institute/ University).

    • Desirable: (i) One year trade certificate in the relevant field from ITI; or (ii) Experience of Driving in an accredited institution; or (iii) Experience of Motor Mechanic work. (iv) Possession of LMV driving licence.

13. Skilled support staff – I – 

    • Essential: Matriculation or equivalent pass or ITI pass.

    • Desirable: (i) One year experience in an accredited institution or firm.

Relaxation of Upper age limit:
